This Vinyl Record- the soundtrack, so to speak, of the documentary of the same name by award-winning filmmaker Alejandro Diez - reflects the liveliness, expressiveness and depth of new Argentine tango music and its lyrics.
Julian Peralta has managed to mix his own material with collegiate milestones of contemporary tango, such as Aires Sin Final, Cinco Nombres or Milonga del Borde.
The pieces are all arranged with Peralta's swinging and elegant style for his 18-piece Orquesta Típica - full orchestral sound of twelve strings, four bandoneons, piano and double bass. Included are guest musicians such as Walter 'Chino' Laborde, Dolores Solá and Alejandro Guyot, all of whom have their own projects and paths to new tango music.
