Tango Spleen Orquesta
Se Encendieron Los Colores
The title of the new album by 'Tango Spleen Orquestas' translates as 'The colours lit up'. The sextet around pianist and singer Mariano Speranza from Parma, Italy, continues its philosophy of flavouring Argentine tango with folkloristic influences.
The title is rather apt: with a playing time of just over 25 minutes, the nine tracks are not elaborate compositions, but rather crisp flare-ups that flash up and quickly fade away again.
But this flare has it all, inspires, carries away.
