The young ensemble is now attracting some attention in Argentina, is well represented on social media and is classified as neo-tango. With guitar, a singer, piano, double bass, bandoneon and trumpet, the instrumentation is somewhat variable and the ensemble makes full use of the possibilities this offers.
The music of the ten pieces on this CD is heterogeneous and seems to be fed from different sources. As a result, the specific tango melodies no longer appear in some of the recordings. The influences come from folklore, rock and jazz, salsa and British pop from around 1970. The trumpet, with or without a mute, is unusual in that it occasionally imitates something like a brass section when recorded several times. All in all, the boundaries of what is generally understood as 'neo tango' are very broad here.
