Miguel Villasboas

El paisanito

Miguel Villasboas, born 30 December 1936 in Montevideo, is a Uruguayan tango pianist, conductor and composer.
He is known for his long career as a conductor of tango orchestras, which lasted more than 50 years.

In the course of his career, he received the Golden Record twice, the first time in 1976 for his long-playing record `De pura cepa' and the second time in 2009 for his compact disc `La Cumparsita'.
