There are many tributes to the master of Tango Nuevo, whose centenary will be celebrated in 2021. Too few have managed to rise to the level of this statuary monument during his lifetime. It is this Himalaya that Louise Jallu dared to climb, not without the recklessness that characterizes youth. At her side, the bandoneonist could count on two experienced men: Bernard Cavanna, co-founder of the bandoneon chair at the Gennevilliers Conservatory, and the immense pianist Gustavo Beytelmann, who had the pleasure of playing with Piazzolla. The two know that to take on such a challenge, one must follow a course that allows one to grasp all of Piazzolla's essential ambivalence: to draw from the heart of the deepest tradition to find the source of new traces.  
"The more one delves into Piazzolla's music, the more one becomes aware of the need to abandon the obvious and search for new spaces and other possible projections in his "secret mechanics" - the "secret mechanics" of his articulations, his rhythmic breaks, his constantly tense and expanding melodies - even if that means sometimes getting lost in them, because deep down we don't really know where they will lead us. "Louise Jallu, who has scrutinized - sometimes even cut - a dozen pieces by this outstanding melodist, warns.  Oblivion, Buenos Aires Hora Cero, Soledad, Adios Nonino and of course Libertango are on the program of this collection. The "little" French woman chooses not to play the revival card, but to escape from the original in order to pursue her own originality from this furrow. In other words, to play in the spirit, never by the letter.
