Los Milonguitas
Live in Nuremberg
The 'Milonguitas' are Pablo Murgier (pianist and composer), Simone Tolomeo (bandoneon) and Sebastian Noya (double bass), all born in Argentina in the 1980s and well established in the tango business of Buenos Aires.
This production of original titles was recorded live in 2020 at the Kulturwerkstatt Auf AEG in Nuremberg. The violinist Karl Espegard can be heard here as a guest. Despite the live recording, the sound hardly differs from studio recordings.
The basis of their music is contemporary 'tango moderno' in the extension of Pugliese and Piazzolla, but this does not exclude pretty ideas and suggestions. The 'Milonguitas' play on a high level, the interpretations are really great - no wonder that the three musicians are doing well at home. Conclusion: A CD for people interested in new tango music.
