Juanjo Mosalini
Entre Pliegues
After many co-operation projects with musician friends from the fields of tango, rock, folk and classical music, Mosalini jr. has finally released his first solo CD: Music with the great sound of the bandoneon at its centre. The production has received a lot of positive attention in the Argentinian media and should finally have established him as an outstanding artistic personality - alongside his famous father. I've never heard a bandoneon sound like this before, it's crystal clear, huge and natural. But: this music is not light fare, nothing is pleasing, nothing is superficial, everything has format and artistic substance that is not necessarily fully revealed on first hearing. Conclusion: For me, one of the best tango CDs of recent years (Jürgen Bieler)
