The "Six Tanguistic Studies", a work from the last phase of Astor Piazzolla that had a remarkable diffusion although it was limited to the academic field, is now treated by Jorge Retamoza in an album that represents the first version recorded by an Argentine saxophonist.
On this CD, Jorge Rematoza plays 6 titles by Astor Piazzolla with the Virtuosi Chamber Orchestra. 4 other titles are Rematoza's own compositions and another title is by Eduardo Rovira, played with the Integrantes Orquesta de Camara del Congreso. As a bonus, the CD offers a piece by Astor Piazzolla and one by Gerry Mulligan.
