Released in 2022, this album includes a selection of tango classics and contemporary compositions that Emiliano Faryna (guitar) and Hugo Satorre (bandoneon) play regularly in the most popular local milongas of Buenos Aires.
It combines the two new releases A la pista! and Composiciones actuales, and brings together the tracks, all recorded in March 2021 at Estudio Fin del Mundo with Boris Peñoñori as sound engineer.
The album owes its title Los Suplentes (The Substitutes) to the fact that the two musicians had to play at Café Vinilo for a month as a substitute for the 'Orquesta Victoria', because a large part of the orchestra lineup wanted to take a vacation during the summer.

Overall, the album is very well tailored to the needs of dancers and dancers: a balanced mix of well-known classics and original new compositions for more demanding milongueros.
