Facundo Barreyra
Morgenlicht
That every bandoneon built in Germany crossed the Atlantic is unlikely. But of one I know for sure, it is the Doble AA of the Argentine musician Facundo Barreyra, who lives in beautiful Upper Bavaria since 2017.
The likeable young artist, who is also a percussionist and drummer, thus knows something about traveling as well as about tango. On his CD you will find his own compositions, but also well-known songs from Gardel to Piazzolla.
As a master of his craft and a sensitive interpreter of all musical facets, Facundo Barreyra would easily be able to travel the oceans of music with his instrument alone. But he is also musically ingeniously accompanied on the CD - which, by the way, is originally packaged in a tin can.
The traveler Facundo Barreyra's dreams from his homeland follow him all the way to Bavaria. And if someone is missing something lately - travel, tango, freedom - then this CD is warmly recommended! (Review in Tangodanza 88 - 4.2021)
