The anniversary CD El Locomotivo is an extensive compilation of the past 16 years, consisting exclusively of original compositions arranged by Aleksandar Nicolic together with his wife Ivana on the piano. A congenial duo that always knows how to reinvent itself - sometimes traditional as in their Valses, sometimes daredevil cheerful with a bit of Gipsy as in Balkan Milonga Loca or their last piece TNT Explosivo.
The milongas, in particular, virtually ask you to dance, with driving beats that betray a passionate love for 'Beltango's' Serbian homeland.
All in all, the Quinteto deserves a big thank you for all these many musical inspirations that take even die-hard traditionalists into a different, yet equally beautiful and exciting tango world..
